7.2 Manage Subject
From this menu you can create and manage subjects for the
course.� You must add the subject here and then link with the course in Course
Subject section. To create (add) subjects, follow the instruction below:
7.2.1
Once you have logged in to RTOmanager, click Courses>Manage
Subject as shown in figure 7.2a. By default, list of all available subjects
is displayed as shown below.

�To edit/delete the existing subject, first of all find the
subject you want to delete and then click / icon in figure 7.2a.
7.2.2
To add new subject (and units), click �in
figure 7.2a. A new window appears on the screen as shown in figure 7.2b.

Enter/select subject code, subject name and grading type for the subject
as shown in figure 7.2b. Grading Type comes from the Student Result
Grade setup in RTOmanager setup area. You can also choose marks grading if it
has been set up.

You can also add unit to the subject at the same time while adding new
subject. In unit details section in figure 7.2b, select all the information for
unit as required. (You may also create a new unit which is not in the list by
selecting clicking Unit Code (unit details section) drop down menu
scroll at the bottom and clicking New.)

Finally clickin figure 7.2b.
You will receive a confirmation stating that your subject and unit has been
added successfully as in figure 7.2c.

Tip: When entering a Subject
Code you can simply click on the green tick �icon which will
automatically fill in the subject details only. Unit Details will
still need to be added/entered accordingly as Unit Details are not
populated automatically.
7.2.6� Clicking this �icon will
allow you to manage units which will be explained in Section 7.4, this
icon is shown below in figure 7.2d highlighted in red box simply a shortcut
that opens a new window for you to edit/add or delete any units within the
subject you select.
