16.3 Report Filter
Report filter can be useful to narrow down the search in the
reports.
16.3.1 Once data is searched, there is option to filter data
by individual column. Choose the appropriate value from the list and report
data will be updated according to that.

16.3.2 Click �icon in figure 16.3a. You
will go to the filter criteria page as shown in figure 16.3b.

16.3.3 Select the criteria that you want to filter the data
(Type from the drop down menu in figure 16.3b).
16.3.4 Select the Starts With criteria from the drop
down menu in figure 16.3b.
16.3.5 Finally enter the value of your search criteria.
Figure 16.3b should now appear as shown in figure 16.3c.

Simply click
on to search for those fields
entered as seen above in figure 16.3c, which will search the report selected
with only those fields, which should look like below in figure 16.3d

This is very
useful if you would like to run a report but only show a particular student or
course etc.
Clicking this
�button instead, will apply
the filter for the whole data of the report, this is especially useful if there
are over 500 records as 1 data set equals 500 records. So clicking this option
will filter through the whole records where as this button only
filters current data set of 500 records only.
Note: You can add more than one row filter field by
simply clicking on the as shown above in figure
16.3d. For Example: you can have two rows. Row 1: Name = Mount,
Row 2: CourseName = English as seen below in figure 16.3c and click on �to remove a filter row.
